In this show we are looking to push the limits of the 3D effect. We will provide ChromaDepth 3D glasses to participating artists to use while creating their works.
ChromaDepth 3D is a patented system from American Paper Optics that produces a stereoscopic effect based upon differences in the diffraction of color through a special prism-like holographic film fitted into the glasses. ChromDepth 3D glasses purposely exacerbate chromatic aberration and give the illusion of colors taking up different positions in space, with red being in front, and blue being in back. This works particularly well with the sky, sea or grass as a background, and red objects in the foreground.
This 3d effect will add more flexibility for the artist and will also them to create images that can be viewed in 2d without the blurry effect that usually accompanies anaglyph (red and blue) 3d graphics.
Glasses will be provided for viewing at the show and will be available for purchase at the gallery
Drop off for work will be 17th (St. Patricks Day)
The Opening reception will be Saturday, March 24th from 6pm to 10pm
Please contact us immediately if you are interested in participating in this show so we can get you glasses as soon as possible.
