Tony Hawk may never have held a paint brush and Picasso may never have done an ollie, but Breakneck Gallery will bring together the two disparate worlds of skate and art in the Art Deck-O Show on Saturday June 16th.”
Local artists such as Eric Kaplan, CHOD, Sean Burns, R!ch Cihlar, Jeff Hulligan and many more will transplant their work from canvas to skate deck in a show that welcomes art lovers and skaters alike. Also Pete Woodward (the Unknown, Restless Habs) will be making a musical performance during the opening reception. Breakneck will also be raffling off items and donating the money to Public Square Group, a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting skateboarding, art and civics.
