If you haven’t shown in the gallery before, but think you would be a good fit for the show please send us you contact info along with a couple of images of your work. We love to have new work and artists in the gallery.

Work needs to be black & white or grayscale… (ie…no colors)

Work needs to be ready to hang on the wall, with a wire on the back!!!  (I can’t stress enough just how important this is!!!)

Let us know the approximate size and quantity you plan on bringing in as early as possible.

The drop off is the week between the 14th to the 20th. Please let us know when you will be able to drop off.

If possible, please provide a digital image of your work, as high-resolution and as clean as you can get it. (this is very helpful).

Figure Drawing @ Breakneck Gallery, April 14th from 5pm to 7pm

30 03 2012

Hey everyone. We are hosting a figure drawing event on Saturday, April 14th from 5pm to 7pm. It will feature a nude female model. The fee is $15 which goes towards paying the model. This event is 18 and over and there will be a donation bar with beer and wine (for those of age), soda, and snacks. We need at least 5 people to pre-sign to make sure can afford to pay the model. If you need instruction there will be experienced artists there who will be happy to help you. If you just want to sit and draw, that is fine as well. Please let us know if you will be attending as soon as possible. We would like to make this a monthly or every other month event and be able to lower fee if we get a good enough responce to the first one.

So, if you would like to have a fun relaxed place to come and draw, sketch or paint. Please try and attend and please let us know you are coming.

Thanks, hope to see you then

Breakneck Gallery Presents “The 3D ART Show”, March 24th

6 03 2012

Breakneck Gallery Presents “The 3D ART Show”

17020 Madison Ave. Lakewood, Ohio 44107

Opening & Artist Reception: March 24th From 6pm to 10pm

Show runs from March 24th till April 14th

Whats even better than spending an evening checking out a bunch of awesome art? How about an evening of checking out a bunch of awesome art in 3D!!

The 3D ART Show! at Breakneck Gallery is an art show like no other! (that we know of at least)The Show will feature over 15 Local artists work ranging from paintings, photography, sculpture and more, and all in 3D! In this show we are looking to push the limits of the 3D effect. Artists will be using either the traditional Anaglyphic 3D (red and blue lens) and/ or ChromaDepth 3D glasses to create their work. ChromaDepth 3D is a patented system that uses a special prism-like film in the glasses that gives the illusion of colors taking up different positions in space. Glasses will be provided for viewing at the show and will be available for purchase at the gallery for $1 for a set of both the Chromadepth and Anaglyphic.

So why waste your time looking at art in only two dimensions, when you could slap a pair of 3D glasses on your mug and watch some art dance right off the walls!

Opening Reception Saturday March 24th 6pm-10pm

As a special bonus DummArt.com will be giving away 100 free 3D art pins at the opening reception. As always there will be drinks, food, fun, and of course ART!
